Running from my emotions and the truth within my heart,
Hiding beneath the shadows of the trees and the wind whispers his name,
The echoes vibrate off of the ground and his name becomes a melody in my head,
Dear Wind, why do you taunt me so;
I try to speak but my vocabulary becomes limited,
My only thoughts are the way he laughs and caresses me,
I look up and only see his face within the clouds.
Running further from the truth and the exactness of my love,
I find it hard to breathe as my body shuts down from deprivation,
My legs refuse to work and I fall into emptiness,
Tears cradle below my chin as they also refuse to go any further,
My body has given up and so have I.
Soon the wind begins to whisper his name and I no longer fight the feeling to accept its purpose,
Dear Wind, Carry me as you may;
I slowly begin to move as I'm returned home,
I take in a deep breath and my tears fall freely once more,
I fooled my self into thinking I could get away,
Never Again.
