Evergreen Hope

Like the evergreen grass of spring,
My passion for love and happiness comes alive,
After the depressing purity of snow and dullness,
My heart leaps at the sign of growth,
I develop hope.
Nature has an everlasting beauty that seems to surround us in its warmth,
Comfort us from the harsh of this world,
And lullaby us to sleep within its calmness.
...Then we are suddenly awakened by the cruelty of mankind,
The permanent thought that everything is evil,
Passion for life gone with the wind,
And hope leaves the body in a painful cry for help,
No one is there.
No one cares.
Its just me, myself, and I.
And when the evergreen grass of spring wants to penetrate the lifeless snow,
I'll quickly cover it up,
Nature can't protect me from agony,
All hope is lost.
